Some time ago the School of Dramatic Art opened an exhibition entitled Settembrina SHALL WE DANCE: The title now reads repeated continuity planning the Course of Dance Theatre, also wants to maintain constant visibility to give to his students and former students, often working in groups and national companies, European and international. SHALL WE DANCE: FOR CECILIA began as a contribution to the Festival Theatre, but also and above all, on the initiative of former students who graduated in 2001, to remember Cecilia Poli, who died prematurely in August two years ago: a radiant dancer from large blue eyes and the frantic need to be on stage, who thought the school his second home, and within three years of his stay, loved by fellow students, spread around him that same calmness that has brought fighting to overcome several painful operations in the hope of winning, even after they become a mother, the battle waged against a fatal disease.
Eight fellow Cecilia present at the conclusion of this marathon of alumni "Paolo Grassi", short dances or performances in his honor. Justified by obligations to work abroad, even absent colleagues in that course which ended in 2001 - in some ways as a number of exceptional talent and cohesiveness of group - gather around to his memory.
The other participants in SHALL WE DANCE: FOR CECILIA have generously supported the initiative with short works, solos or defined being developed, tested or group dances in the making.
